Author and Contributorship Policy

Tạp chí Trắc địa – Bản đồ follows international principles of authorship and contributorship to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability in scholarly publishing.

1. Authorship Criteria

An individual should be listed as an author only when they have made a substantial contribution to the research and meet the applicable authorship criteria.

Such contributions may include:

  • Significant contributions to the conception or design of the study, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of results;

  • Drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content;

  • Approval of the final version of the manuscript before publication;

  • Agreement to be accountable for the content of the article and to cooperate in resolving questions related to the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the research.

Administrative assistance, technical support, data provision, funding, or general supervision alone does not automatically qualify an individual for authorship.

2. Author Contributions

The journal encourages authors to provide a clear statement describing the contributions of each author.

Contributions may include:

  • Conceptualization and research design;

  • Methodology;

  • Data collection and processing;

  • Data analysis;

  • Analysis and interpretation of results;

  • Manuscript preparation;

  • Review and editing;

  • Research supervision or project administration;

  • Approval of the final version of the manuscript.

All authors should agree on the order of authorship and the contribution statement before acceptance of the manuscript.

3. Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is primarily responsible for communication with the journal throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.

The corresponding author is also responsible for ensuring that:

  • All individuals who meet the authorship criteria are appropriately included;

  • All authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript;

  • Author information and author order are accurate;

  • Authorship and contribution issues have been discussed and agreed upon by all authors.

4. Changes in Authorship

Any request to add, remove, or change the order of authors after submission must be clearly justified and approved by all relevant authors.

The journal may require written confirmation of agreement from all authors regarding any change to the authorship list or author order.

After acceptance, changes to authorship will only be considered in justified circumstances and must be approved by all authors concerned.

5. Contributors Who Do Not Qualify as Authors

Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, with their permission.

6. Author Responsibilities

All authors are responsible for their respective contributions and share responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the published work.

The journal does not accept honorary authorship, guest authorship, authorship without substantial contribution, or the deliberate exclusion of individuals who meet the authorship criteria.
