Publication Fees and Author Charges
Publication Support Fee
The Magazine of Geodesy – Cartography charges a Publication Support Fee of [40 USD] per accepted article.
The Publication Support Fee is used to support the costs associated with the publication and maintenance of the journal, including online publication, DOI registration, metadata management, website maintenance, and other publication-related activities.
The journal does not charge any submission fee, manuscript processing fee, peer-review fee, or additional page or colour charges.
The Publication Support Fee is payable only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Authors are not required to make any payment at the time of submission or during the peer-review process.
Editorial and Peer-Review Independence
Payment of the Publication Support Fee does not influence the editorial or peer-review decision.
Editorial decisions are made independently of the author's ability or willingness to pay the Publication Support Fee. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of their academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and conformity with the journal's editorial policies.
Editors and reviewers do not make decisions based on whether an author has paid, or can pay, the Publication Support Fee.
Payment Procedure
After a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive the official payment instructions from the journal.
When making the payment, authors should include the Manuscript ID or Article Title in the payment description/reference field so that the payment can be correctly identified.
After completing the transfer, authors should send the payment confirmation or proof of payment to the journal's official email address:

No Waiver Policy
The journal does not currently offer a waiver or general reduction of the Publication Support Fee.
The same published fee applies to all accepted articles, regardless of the author's institution, country, or ability to pay.
Transparency of Author Charges
All author charges applicable to publication are publicly disclosed on this page. No additional fees will be charged beyond those explicitly stated above.
The Publication Support Fee is entirely separate from the editorial and peer-review processes and has no influence on the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
