Aims and Purpose
The Magazine of Geodesy - Cartography is a scientific and technological journal that aims to publish and disseminate research findings, technological developments, and innovative applications in geodesy, cartography, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and geospatial science.
The journal promotes interdisciplinary research and the application of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, and geospatial technologies, to support land management, natural resources, environmental management, spatial planning, and sustainable development.
Focus and scope
The journal publishes original research articles, applied research, and review papers covering, but not limited to, the following areas:
-
Geodesy and Positioning: GNSS, reference systems, surveying, gravity, and deformation monitoring.
-
Cartography and Digital Mapping: map production, updating, analysis, and visualization.
-
Remote Sensing and Earth Observation: satellite imagery, UAVs, LiDAR, image classification, and change detection.
-
GIS and Geospatial Science: spatial databases, spatial analysis and modelling, WebGIS, and 3D GIS.
-
GeoAI and Geospatial Technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data, and automated geospatial data processing.
-
Geospatial Applications: land, natural resources, environment, urban areas, infrastructure, and territorial management.
