Abstract

This study evaluates the ecological suitability and spatial development orientation of Tam that (Panax notoginseng) in Nghe An province. Integrating quantitative evaluation methods and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), the research classified key natural components such as topography, climate, soil, ecosystems, and natural geographical complexes. The findings reveal a distinct and diverse spatial differentiation of natural conditions across the province. Areas designated as "Highly Suitable" and "Moderately Suitable" constitute more than 50% of Nghe An's total natural area, concentrated in the western and northwestern highlands. This research offers a vital scientific foundation for zoning concentrated medicinal crop production, maximizing natural resource efficiency, and promoting socio-economic growth alongside sustainable livelihoods for local populations
